ARTIST STATEMENT
Through my art I have a voice and a purpose. Each painting and drawing tells a story My works are an expression of my life experiences and my thoughts at the time they are created. Symbolism is an important part of each painting.
I have always loved color and texture as a designer. Movement is an integral part of my paintings. I am currently working with acrylic and using mixed media with collage.
In 2007 “Gossip Girl”the TV series, featured “Three of Hearts” in the Bad News Blair episode. Twenty-four of my paintings were later used for a fictional gallery exhibition in the High Society episode of that show.
My work has been showcased in galleries and in private collections. Most recently I have been the recipient of several awards at the National Art League. Manhattan Theatre Source selected my painting “Leap of Faith” as the promotional piece for their Estrogenius ‘07 show and the painting was published as the cover of their book of plays.
