Mario Tucci will conduct a session of painting critiques

May 28, 2010
7:30 PM

Have You Ever Wondered if the painting you were working on was going in a good direction, if your composition was what it should be, if your choice of color was creating the right mood? The May meeting is the place to come for all your questions to be answered. The Art League is having a “Meet and Critique” night hosted by MarioTucci, a popular, local jurist. Mario runs a similar monthly meeting for the Art Guild of Port Washington that members flock to.

Please bring a painting that is not completely finished so you can incorporate the suggestions from Mario and your peers to finish your work. Though finished work will be accepted, the critique won’t be as beneficial. Incomplete is preferred. Each critique is limited to seven minutes and we can accommodate only the first twenty artists to arrive.

MARIO’S RULES for the EVENING:
Presenter: Please have a thick skin. Don’t be defensive; be open to suggestions.
Critiquing: Only constructive criticism has any value! If you cannot offer a solution to the problem you see, please allow others to offer theirs and you will learn along with the presenter.
Everyone: Respect the time limits. If you want to say more please do so privately.
